01 — OUR STORY
Ten Years in the Making
One love story, beautifully imperfect.
We met as course mates at NTU, though it took a student exchange in Japan — and almost ten years — for friendship to turn into something more. A supposedly casual catch-up became our first date, and somewhere between road trips, enthusiastic singing and the occasional questionable hike, we became us.
Years later, on a cold evening in Sweden, Wen Jie got down on one knee. The ring box was upside down, his nose was running, and Wendy said yes anyway.

An intimate moment with our families
A quiet moment steeped in tradition, shared with our loved ones
From 11.30 AM
Welcome & Reception
Canapés, drinks and a little something we've planned for you
Come early and be surprised!
12.00 – 3.00 PM
Lunch & Celebration

A proper banquet, as promised. Come hungry.
A little coincidence we love: The Meranti Ballroom was inspired by the Bridal Veil Stinkhorn, a rainforest mushroom.
A ballroom inspired by a bridal veil?! We couldn't have planned it better. We're choosing to ignore the “stinkhorn” part.
From 9.00 PM
After Party!
Because apparently one celebration isn't enough.
We’re still figuring this one out. If you’re keen, we’ll set up a group chat closer to the day with all the details.
Need a little help?
Make your way to the Mandai Rainforest Resort lobby and look out for our event signage.
If you’re unsure where to go, just ask for directions to the Meranti Ballroom. Whether you’re joining us for the solemnisation, tea ceremony or lunch celebration, our main gathering point will be the foyer outside the ballroom.
By MRT + Shuttle
Take the North–South Line to Khatib MRT (NS14), then board the M2 Mandai Khatib Bus.
The M2 runs from Khatib to Mandai Wildlife Reserve approximately every 15 mins. Direct M2 services to Mandai Rainforest Resort are also available, so we recommend checking the latest schedule before travelling.
By Car
From the resort car park, head to Lift Lobby K and take the lift to Level 1.
Follow the event signage along the short pathway until you reach the next lift. Take the lift to Level 1, then follow the signs to the venue.
Please let us know in your RSVP if you’ll be driving, so we can do our best to arrange sufficient complimentary parking for our guests.
Taxi / Grab
Alight at the resort drop-off point.
Look out for the event signage and follow the short pathway to the venue.
